VIEW BEARS IN SLOVENIA

- Warm clothes suitable for the weather, suitable footwear, flash free camera and goodwill
Wear suitable warm clothes, preferably made of non- or minimum rustling fabric. As it is highly likely to get really cold in the deep of the forest, so we kindly ask you to take some extra clothing just in case. - Is there any Restrictions?
- Not all programs are suitable for children, Please, do not use any perfumed cosmetics on the day of the tour. Animals have a great sense of smell and will consequently notice your presence and hide. Smoking during the viewing is forbidden for the same reason. You are also required to stay still and keep quiet during the observation. Camera flashes are not allowed in order not to upset the animals. Serving alcoholic drinks in the time of bear watching activity is prohibited. Individuals will not be allowed to participate in any of the mentioned activities if under the influence of alcohol or any prohibited substances. Please, do not abandon the guide and group during the watching activity or hiking through the forest.

- In the extremely unlikely event that we don't see a brown bear some programs offer you a compensation
A Bear observation tour is not available from:
- September 10 - October 05
- The above date is the date when a deer mating. In the meantime, visit the bears is not possible.
- From November to April
- Bears have winter rest at this time.

Did you know that 60% of Slovenia is covered by forest? I have learned that there and I also learned that there are some tours that offer exploring this part of Slovenia as well. I have decided to go to Loška dolina and join The Bear Watching Tour. The experience was amazing. The tour was professionally organised and the guide provided us with tons of information. He was also taking care of our safety during the whole tour. We saw deers, birds and many bears in their natural habitat
– this is a tour that I would recommend for sure!

I have decided to come to Slovenia since it is known by its extremely high density of brown bears. I have joined a photo tour in Loška dolina in order to get the best possible environment for taking great photos. Our experienced guide took us to the hides that were built in a carefully selected location in order to create perfect circumstances for taking photos. We had really many great opportunities to take wonderful photos of wild life of Slovenian forests. I recommend this tour to all of you that are willing to make that additional effort in order to take impressive photos.

I live in a city which makes it extremely difficult for me to see animals in their natural environment. When I was travelling to Slovenia I saw that there are some guided tours where you can explore wild life of their forests. I have decided to join the Bear Watching Tour in Postojna. I think that, if you really want to know what Slovenia is like, you definitely have to take a walk through one of its forests since they represent 60% of the country. I took a guided bear observation tour in the area of Snežnik. The tour was amazing! There was a lot of wild life to observe and our guide was full of knowledge and interesting stories. He provided us with amazing experience that we will definitely not forget. I totally recommend a Bear Watching Tour in the wonderful area of Snežnik.
