Dry with mature, flexible tannins and silky texture
70% Merlot, 20 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Pinot Noir
Grapes are desteemed and put in vinificator with skins where the fermentation begins with indigenous yeasts. When the fermentation is finished we wait for another week and after that grapes are pressed and prepared to mature in barrels. All varieties are vinificated separately. After aging process Aleš blends Veliko Rdeče.
Veliko Red consist of: o Merlot, which gives the spine and character of the wine. In the case of large red wines, we expect strength, resistance and the ability to tolerate aging - all this is given by merlot; o Cabernet Sauvignon cares for aromaticity. Cabernet sauvignone is characterized by a pronounced fruity aroma (taste and smell of black currant), which is also noticeable in large red, although it does not stand out; o Pinot Noir brings elegance and conjures up special flavors that we are used to with petroleum products or tar, but with large red they work perfectly harmoniously.
