The colour is medium deep golden. Slightly closed on the nose at first but then opens and gets opulent. This is not a Sauvignon Blanc in style of various primary tropical fruits, but rather in a riper, fuller style with a restrained, but complex aromatic profile. Gooseberries, peaches, wet stone, butter. Dry on the palate, intense, full bodied with a good amount of ripe acidities. Oily texture with in intense and persistent flavour. A savoury Sauvignon Blanc which requires a well-chosen main dish. Can this one be compared with world classics? Hardly. Maybe it is close to Fumé Blanc from Napa but in fact it is in a style of its own, faithful Sauvignon Blanc from Brda. Edi’s!
