The colour is medium deep golden. Restrained, mature nose of medium intensity. There as tendency to keep nosing and nosing this beautiful and very inviting wine and delaying the actual sip. It is reminiscent of ripe yellow juicy fruits and sweet spicy notes cinnamon and cloves. The whole aroma profile is beautifully knit, forming in a luscious web of aromas which act unite, as one. Finesse is the name of the game. Dry on the palate, full bodied with plenty of character and taste, with slightly sweet sensation. Aromatic profile on the palate is opulent, wine is excelled by a fine, supple texture gently embracing the whole palate. Oak again is meticulously done. With a long elegant finish. If 2017 was delivering tension and persistence, slightly warmer vintage 2018 is bringing us a gentler and more opulent experience. One of the best Triton Lex’s do date. Although very young, it is already prepared to deliver pleasure and is ready to drink now.
