All our wine tastings in the Slovenian village of Erzelj, are being held in a specially designed area that is located next to the wine cellar. All our guests will be invited not only to visit our cellar but also to walk through our vineyards. If the guests are willing to go on a hike on a hill nearby called Tabor then we will prepare a special treat of cool wine at its peak. We will spoil our guests with 5-6 samples of bottled wine and also offer some extra samples of young wine directly from the cellar. Part of our offer is also delicious snacks, such as homemade cheeses, dried meat products, freshly baked bread, and some additional surprises. Our wine tastings are always guided by family members. If our guests would like to know more about the family and the traditional food from this area then we will kindly invite them to join the Landlord at his supper or lunch. The guest can choose from the traditional food on Landlords' every day Menu. There is a big variety of dishes from which you can choose, such as dried meat products, “jota” (dish made out of turnip), gnocchi, sausages, venison, “ocvirki” (dish made out of pig’s fat), many different kind of dumplings and of course a big variety of seasonal pies. We would like for our guests to feel what is this unique Vipava – like taste of our wines, especially in combination with delicious local cuisine prepared according to the recipes of our grandmothers. Our wine tastings are not about the food and the wine it self but also about local stories, geography and our winemaking family.
