Sveti Martin wine tasting takes place in Slovenia in the wine cellar of our established winery. Our house and the nearby vineyards are located in the village of Sveti Martin in the valley of Vipava. Sveti Martin is one of the most dominant hills of the Vipavska dolina (Vipava valley) (333 m.a.s.l.) and offers a beautiful view of Nanos, Kras and the Trnovo plateau, as well as the Italian Dolomites.

Wine tasting usually includes six samples of bottled wines, as well a visit to the cellar to taste at least two samples of wines that are still maturing in barrels. Along with the wines our offer also includes homemade culinary specialties: various types of homemade bread, cheese, homemade meats and more. Wine tasting is usually managed by one of the family members, also in foreign languages (English, Italian, and German).

pAccording to the wishes of our guests we conclude the tasting with a visit to the vineyards and a visit to the beautiful Church of Sveti Martin that originates from the 16th century, which is 5 minutes walk away from our house.

The purpose of wine tasting is to present the specialties of the valley of Vipava to wine admirers, especially the specialties of the winegrowing micro-location of Sveti Martin. The presentation of wines and other culinary specialties, however, is not our monologue, but a dialogue with our guests – questions, comments and discussion are a necessary part of our gatherings!
